Shop Around's 'Pitches Can be Bitches' comic goes international.

The Dutch version of the comic 'Pitches can be Bitches' (first published in the advertising trade paper 'Adformatie') written and lay-outed by Shop Around's creative director Bert Dijkstra and illustrated by Bart Aalbers received a enormous amount of (mainly positive) response. Apart from hundreds and hundreds of comments on Facebook and Twitter, the comic will also be included in a Dutch manual about the do's and don'ts for illustrators, which will be released later this year.

We also received many requests from abroad to translate the comic into English. With some translation help from our good friend Dagmar Veenstra we presented an English version last week. The English version got a great response as well. Not only Dutch people seem to relate to the subject. The comic has appeared so far on BoingBoing (12 to 15 million visitors per month!), but also on drawn.ca, fontanel and FFFFound (to name a few). On Tumblr we have almost 300 notes (likes and reblogs).

In the meantime Adformatie magazine has now asked us to create a monthly comic about the creative business, which we might do.
