Popjugend

Popjugend is all about pop- and youthculture and the crossover between illustration and art. Popjugend mixes art and design and high and low art. Popjugend stands for designer toys but also designer sculptures. And everything that goes with the territory, such as limited edition t-shirts, fine-art and screenprints.

Popjugend is a spin-off from Shop Around. There are mutual interests but the Popjugend label stands alone. The idea behind Popjugend is to facilitate an environment where contemporary artists are invited to create visually inspiring art. Eventually there will be a webshop through which the originals or limited edition artworks can be purchased. There will also be Popjugend exhibitions. The first one kicks off in the prestigious Galerie Majke Husstege in s'Hertogenbosch. Exhibitions in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and eventually abroad, will follow.

The first Popjugend exhibition opens on 20 june in Galerie Majke Husstege in s'Hertogenbosch, Holland.
