Grinderman's Nick Cave loves Typex!
When Grinderman played their gig in the Oosterpoort in Groningen, singer Nick Cave took the time to put Shop illustrator Typex in the spotlight. "This is for the second greatest Dutch artist. There was Rembrandt and then there was Typex." Cave said.
A day earlier in Tivoli in Utrecht, Typex presented the band an illustration which he made earlier for Dutch music magazine Oor. Cave was so taken by the illustration that he invited the illustrator for the gig in Groningen. He also inquired if it would be possible to use the artwork for a promotional poster for the American leg of the Grinderman tour.
